Pete is one of the creators of the Georgia Cycling Gran Prix and the Gwinnett Bike Fest. With a phone call to Tim Molyneaux in the summer of 2006, Topview Sports joined forces with Pete and the Gwinnett Sports Commission to create the Gwinnett Bike Fest, and begin Topview Sports' expansion into Georgia. A graduate of the University of Florida Gators, Pete began his sports management career with the Orlando Magic and Orlando Solar Bears (minor league hockey) from 1998-2001. IN January 2002, he started with the Central Florida Sports Commission based in Orlando, Florida. It is here that Pete developed his event management skills and the love for creating events. As co-creator and event director of the Festival of Speed (renamed Spin City Classic) from 2002-2005, he honed his skills in running/promoting bicycle racing events. He also co-created and was the race director for the first two Downtown Orlando Triathlons (2004-2005). Pete works with a wide variety of sporting events including golf, tennis, martial arts, basketball and many others. |
